17 year old American teenager Madison Keys is thrugh to the third round of the Australian Open in Melbourne. Keys, ranked no. 105 in the world, upset 30th seeded Tamira Paszek 6-2, 6-1 using her big serve and powerful groundstrokes.

Keys is one of the rising prospects in the game so much so that Lindsay Davenport has called her the best American talent since the Williams sisters. After the win, Keys commented, "It makes me really happy. I´ve been working really hard.

I think it´s starting to show." She next takes on world no. 5 Angelique Kerber of Germany in the third round. "My first US Open main draw, it was a big stadium and I wasn´t really used to it. But I feel good about this one so far."
