WTA Legend and co-founder Billie Jean King has joined the All in Challenge - joining tennis stars Novak Djokovic, Andy Roddick, Coco Gauff and Eugenie Bouchard who have all been part of the challenge. As part of the challenges, athletes offer up items or experiences in an online auction or giveaway to help raise funds for charity.
As part of her efforts, King has auctioned off an experience at the US Open, which includes a tour of the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center and a spot in her Arthur Ashe Stadium suite to see some tennis while hanging out with King herself.
100% of the money raised through the auction will go directly to Feeding America, Meals On Wheels, World Central Kitchen and No Kid Hungry. The listing on the website says, "You and a guest will join Billie for an unforgettable time at one of the most prestigious tournaments in tennis, the US Open.
You'll embark on a tour of the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, the site of the annual tournament. When it's time for some action out on the court, you'll join Billie herself in her suite to watch a match.
Talk it up with one of the greatest as you watch some of the most talented tennis players in the world go head-to-head. Now's your chance to capitalize on this extraordinary tennis opportunity!" The starting bid for this experience was at $5,000 while the last bid on the website was at $110,000 at the time of this report.
I’ve accepted the #ALLINCHALLENGE to provide meals to those in need during this difficult time.
Experience a special tour of the National Tennis Center, home of the @usopen & watch the Open w/me in my suite.
