WTA Katowice - Kaia Kanepi and Sabine Lisicki crash out on Wednesday

Tennis - Sixth seeded Kaia Kanepi's comeback from a six month injury lay-off ended in the second round of the BNP Paribas Katowice Open in Poland on Wednesday. Kanepi was beaten 5-7, 3-6 by the Czech Karolina Plsikova, one half of the Pliskova twins.

Pliskova hit seven aces in the match. Meanwhile, in first round action, seventh seed Sabine Lisicki continued her struggles this season losing to Romanian Alexandra Cadantu 5-7, 2-6. In other first round matches, the top two seeds Petra Kvitova and Roberta Vinci advanced to the second round.
