Novak Djokovic has done it again. Last year it happened with Lorenzo Musetti and this time it happened with Jannik Sinner and the illusion for the Italian fans was even greater. The young and talented South Tyrolean dominated the first two sets and many believed that he could really do it, but in the end Nole prevailed and got the pass for the semi-final of the tournament.
Great performance from Jannik but Djokovic proves once again why he is one of the best tennis players of all time. The Serbian, especially in the fourth and fifth set, put an extra gear and became unplayable, destroying the certainties of the young italian.
Jannik Sinner's Wimbledon dream ended in the quarter-finals. After beating Carlos Alcaraz, the South Tyrolean tried in every possible way to stop Novak Djokovic and won the first two sets of the match expressing a tennis of the highest level.
Just in the most complicated moment of his London journey, however, the Serbian champion found the feeling with the shots and completed a sensational comeback. Sinner can however be satisfied with the tournament played in Wimbledon and look forward to the next appointments with optimism.
This point, during the fifth set, is yet another proof of the tennis player's qualities, including elastic ones:
