After Wimbledon and before the North American hard-courts, Carlos Alcaraz has decided to make an intermediate stop on clay-courts. A surface on which the Spanish number two has won four of his five career tournaments: the first dates back to 2021, winning in Umag, on Croatian soil.
This year, however, two 500 titles arrived, in Rio and Barcelona, and a 1000 title, namely the Miami Masters, won against Alexander Zverev in the final.
The stage in Hamburg
To pursue his streak on clay, Alcaraz decided to head to Hamburg.
Being on German soil, language lessons have also arrived for the number six in the world: success, however, unlike the field, is not guaranteed. Alcaraz will be one of the protagonists on the North American hard-courts, which wil climax at the US Open 2022.
