Frustrated Shapovalov calls Nishioka "annoying" after losing Seoul final

After he lost the Seoul final against Yoshihito Nishioka, Denis Shapovalov admitted he was frustrated during the match. "You're playing incredible this year. You're... super annoying to play! It was very frustrating for me.

Couldn't find a way, did everything I could," Shapovalov told Nishioka during his post-match speech. Nishioka, amused, responded in a manner that made the stadium laugh. "You said it was annoying to play against me, so that makes me happy!" said Nishioka.

Yoshihito Nishioka won the inaugural Korea Open in Seoul, defeating fourth-seeded Denis Shapovalov.

Nishioka upset Shapovalov in the Seoul final on Sunday, 6-4 7-6 (5). Besides Shapo, Nishioka overcame Daniel Evans, Taro Daniel, Casper Ruud, and Aleksandar Kovacevic on his way to winning Seoul.
