The first match of the Turin ATP Finals saw the first big surprise, at least on paper. Despite the ranking, the Canadian Felix Auger Aliassime was the big favorite but he lost clearly in two sets against the Norwegian Casper Ruud, more solid and good at embarrassing the youngest opponent.

Two intense sets that saw the Nordic athlete prevail, good at exploiting Felix's weak points and winning with the result of 7-6 6-4. In the first set too many errors in the tiebreak of Felix and Ruud colder in the decisive moments, in the second set a break is enough for Ruud who wins his first match in the ATP Finals.
Ruud was one of the main star of the season, especially with two finals plays in the Grand Slams event, at the Roland Garros and at the US Open, lost against Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz. Here is the video of one of the best points of the match:
