Indian Wells: Carlos Alcaraz rallies like Rafa Nadal!

Carlos Alcaraz, number two in the world, took the 100th win of his career. Extraordinary numbers for the nineteen-year-old tennis player who continues to break records and who was the second player in history to have reached these numbers after only 132 career matches.

Not an easy challenge with Carlos who struggled a lot against the Dutch Tallon Griekspoor, however one of the athletes in the best shape of the last period. Problems especially in the first set with Alcaraz who won only in the tiebreak and with some hesitation on his serve.

Carlos nevertheless gained access to the round of 16 with a clear 7-6;6-3 in one hour and forty-two minutes of play. Alcaraz appeared particularly fit and seems to have left aside the physical problems he suffered during the tournaments in South America.

Carlos can return number one in the world after this tournament but overtaking Novak Djokovic can only happen with the victory of the Indian Wells tournament and only with this condition.

During the match Alcaraz got applause with a passerby in recovery worthy of his great compatriot Rafael Nadal. Alcaraz and Nadal, although they play very different games, have often been compared both in Spain and around the world.

This feat of the Spaniard who first responds to a good first from Tallon and then runs past his opponent recalled one of the feats of the best Rafael Nadal. The Majorcan is currently out due to injury and for this reason too, in a few days he will officially drop out of the world top ten.

Alcaraz will face the young British talent Jack Draper in the Round of 16, while in the Quarterfinals he intrigues (and not a little) the challenge against the Canadian tennis player Felix Auger Aliassime. Below you can watch the amazing video:

Now Alcaraz will face the British Jack Draper in the Round of 16 in a very interesting match between NextGen.

Here are his words: "Let's talk about an excellent tennis player, he played very well this time too. He beat great rivals like Evans and Andy Murray, so I don't think I have a choice. I'll have to offer my best version to go through, I have to give the 100% of my turn on the pitch.

Last year we met in Basel and I only won 7-5 in the third set. It will certainly be a good challenge and I will enjoy it a lot."
