Wimbledon: Daniil Medvedev bows to crowd after winning crazy 42 shots rally!

Daniil Medvedev did the impossible at Wimbledon 2023. The Russian tennis player needs 42 shots to win a very long and incredible rally against Adrian Mannarino, the French tennis player who surprised and beat him on the grass of s'Hertogenbosch this year in the 1st round.

This time, at the Championships, it was the Russian who prevailed in two days and in straight sets. The best point of the match and probably of the entire Friday in London was signed by Medvedev, who was able to win after an exhausting point.

The two held up the rally trying to surprise the opponent several times: in the end, after a while, it was the Frenchman who gave in with a forehand error that ended up on the net. The 27-year-old, while exulting, bowed to the crowd, who paid homage to him with lots of applause.

After his elimnation from the Roland Garros, Medvedev was keen not to end up in the United Kingdom.

Although grass is certainly not his favorite surface, the Russian is defending himself and making use of all his experience to continue the adventure in the main draw. Overcoming the British player Arthur Fery, who could present a threat, in three sets, the Moscow native then took revenge on Mannarino.

Now the number 3 in the world doesn't want to stop anymore and will try to reach the round of 16 again in London (he already succeeded in 2021, his best result of his career). However, on Saturday he will face an expert in these fields: the Hungarian Marton Fucsovics.

In the other matches, Carlos Alcaraz probably struggled more than expected to overcome a courageous and determined Alexandre Muller, but he still found a way to close the match in three sets and prevail with a score of 6-4, 7-6 (2) , 6-3. It took the Spaniard several minutes to figure out which game scheme to use to best deal with Muller's aggression.
