Andy Murray and Grigor Dimitrov thrills the crowd with two super points!

A very interesting challenge was also played which gave applause at the second round of the US Open 2023 is the match between Andy Murray and Grigor Dimitrov. Two of the most talented and experienced tennis players on the circuit, the British champion and the exceptional Bulgarian talent.

The challenge saw Dimitrov beat the 3-time British Slam champion in straights sets, after a very intense but indefinite match dominated by the Bulgarian tennis player. However, the two still gave a show and the first five games lasted over 40 minutes: a lot of show and the crowd applauded the deeds of the two in raptures several times.

As we said, Dimitrov, more concentrated than ever in the key moments of the dispute, beat the Scotsman A bad service game played by Murray at 3-4, two double faults and two poorly calibrated forehands gave the Bulgarian confidence.

A strong start also in the second set, Dimitrov protected the advantage by risking only once, when Murray's passer ended just wide. The Scotsman appeared rather disheartened in the third and Dimitrov took the opportunity to give him a tough 6-1.

The other matches

The matches for the second round of the New York Slam, the last Grand Slam tournament of the season, have been completed. We are only in the early days but we are already seeing great emotions and great surprises with some illustrious eliminated.

Among the top seeds of the men's draw immediately ko Casper Ruud and Stefanos Tsitsipas, but also Holger Rune. Last year's finalist lost so many points and drops significantly in the standings. Surprise also for Tsitsipas, protagonist so far of the most incredible match of the tournament against the young and talented Swiss Dominick Stricker.

The Italian number one Jannik Sinner won the second round match against Lorenzo Sonego, unfortunately an all-Italian derby which sanctioned the clear elimination of his countryman. Excellent condition for Jannik who showed excellent tennis and advances to the next round where he will face Stan Wawrinka.
