The Frenchman Gael Monfils analyzed the reasons behind his straight-set loss to Albert Ramos Vinolas in the Zhuhai Championship quarter-finals.
Monfils, speaking to a group of reporters in a press conference, said: "It was tough for me to breathe today a little bit. It's a heavy condition here, so it was a little bit tough for me to get my breath back, so that's why I was a bit struggling.
And I was worried about that and I talked to the doctor for help. Because it's the end of the season, so every match is very important. And I tried to fight with what I had today and obviously it was not enough, so I'm quite disappointed."
