21-year-old Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina is one of the most interesting prospects of the ATP Tour. At the recent US Open 2020 he reached the fourth round, where he lost to eventual finalist Alexander Zverev in three sets.
In this season he showed to be competitive on all surfaces. In fact he also made the second round at both the Australian Open and the French Open, obtaining his first victories in the Grand Slam tournaments. At the ATP Cologne 2 tournament, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina was the protagonist of a great match against Steve Johnson, in the second round, winning the match 7-6 (3) 6-3.
In one of the most incredible rallies of the year, Davidovich Fokina won an incredible point after a swap around the net, literally blocking a volley from his rival and getting one of the best points of the season. In the quarterfinals of Cologne, the Spaniard will meet the winner of the challenge between Otte and Schwartzman.
