Alex De Minaur defeated Grigor Dimitrov in the semi-final of the ATP 250 in Antwerp with the final score of 7-6 (3) 6 (4) -7 6-4, at the end of a spectacular and fun match.
The Australian broke the rival in the third game.
Grigor has however, taking advantage of the indoor conditions to knock out his opponent's flat shots, recovered the disadvantage, thanks also to his slice and frequent dropshots, but it was not enough to win the first set.
Dimitrov managed to subvert the fate of the match in the second set, but lost the match in the third and decisive one. On one of his shifts, Dimitrov invilontally hit a girl present on the sideline: he proved to be a gentleman, making sure of the conditions and immediately shaking up with the girl and giving her a cuff.
Now in the final of the Belgian tournament, the Australian Alex De Minaur will meet the Frenchman Ugo Umbert, who defeated Daniel Evans in three sets.
