Rafael Nadal was defeated by Dominic Thiem under the roof of the O2 Arena in London, at the ATP Finals 2020. A truly spectacular and very fun match, decided by two tie-breaks, after almost two hours of play. The US Open champion manages to maintain the positive trend in tie breaks and seal the success with the result of 7-6 (7) 7-6 (4) after just under two and a half hours of play and above all mortgage the passage of the round in Group London 2020.
In the other match of the day, defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas balances the defeat suffered on his debut by beating Andrey Rublev 6-1 4-6 7-6 (6) and thus condemning the Russian to elimination. Rublev wasted a match point in the decisive tie-break even with a double fault.
Today on the court Novak Djokovic vs Daniil Medvedev and Diego Schwartzman vs Alexander Zverev. Below the match-points of the two challenges.
