2020 memories: Rafael Nadal's 1000 career wins

In one of the most incredible, particular and dramatic seasons ever, the great tennis stars like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams still managed to shine, for one reason or another. A few weeks after winning his 13th Roland Garros and equaling Roger Federer's 20 Slam record thanks to a 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 victory against world number 1 Novak Dokovic in the Paris final, Rafael Nadal returned in the French capital for the Rolex Paris Masters, on hard courts.

By defeating Feliciano Lopez in his first match in the Paris Bercy tournament, Rafael Nadal achieved his 1000th victory in the ATP Tour, becoming the fourth player ever to succeed after Jimmy Connors, Ivan Lendl and Roger Federer.

In the quarterfinals of the tournament he defeated his countryman Pablo Carreno Busta, only to be eliminated in the semifinals by Alexander Zverev with a score of 6-4, 7-5.
