Roger Federer qualifies for the 4th round of the Roland Garros 2021. The Swiss champion, winner of 20 Grand Slam titles (including 1 here in Paris), beat the German tennis player Dominik Koepfer, an insidious opponent and who led Roger to face a tough battle.
Although the Swiss Maestro did not play one of his best matches and in some places appeared in great difficulty, Federer reacted to all the adversities and after three tiebreaks and four sets he won an important match that leads him to the second week of the tournament.
The Italian number one and top 10 Matteo Berrettini awaits him in the fourth round of the Parisian Slam. The fourth set sees Federer go ahead immediately by a break and seem so close to victory but the Swiss complicates his life, makes a few mistakes too many and suffers a counterbreak from the German.
It goes on until the eleventh game when Roger, on 5-5, has two break points and at the first opportunity wins the important break that gives him the victory and the challenge with Berrettini. Here is the video of one of the points of the match:
