Andy Murray yesterday on social media spread news of the loss of a pair of shoes with a neighbor tied to nothing less than his wedding ring. The former world number 1, currently present in the main draw of Indian Wells 2021, where in the first round he will face the rising star Carlos Alcaraz, fortunately found what he had lost by breathing a big sigh of relief.
A story with a happy ending for the three-time Grand Slam champion but also for the wife and mother of his four children Kim Sears, with whom he has been married since 2015. Also through social media Andy Murray kept us informed of the discovery and thanked for having spread the unfortunate news: "The shoes are back home!" he said in an Instagram post.
"I just want to send a quick message to say a huge thank you for all the messages and also to everyone for sharing the story of the shoes and the wedding ring. Little update for everyone. They still smell awful!" the Scotsman concluded nicely.
