After winning his 22nd career Major at the Roland Garros, his fourteenth in Paris, Rafael Nadal underwent a new foot treatment with the aim of taking the field at Wimbledon 2022. The Spanish champion has never won the Australian Open and Roland Garros in the same season and the Grand Slam dream is more alive than ever.
Despite continuing foot problems, Nadal has in fact shown that he can compete to his full potential and will do everything to beat the competition even on the All England Club lawns.
Nadal kept to his schedule and returned to training on grass at the Mallorca Country Club in Santa Ponca.
The Spaniard will be able to assess his physical condition directly on the pitch and make the final decision on the next edition of the Wimbledon tournament, which will not see Russian and Belarusian tennis players compete.
Everything seems to be going according to plan and Nadal's presence in London is getting closer and closer. The 22-time Grand Slam champion has not participated in the London Major since 2019, when he lost in the semifinals to Roger Federer.
In the last two editions in which he took part, only the Swiss and Novak Djokovic prevented him from reaching the final.
