Nadal and Swiatek go viral after spectacular tweeners against McEnroe and Gauff

During a doubles match having Rafael Nadal and Iga Swiatek on one side and John McEnroe and Coco Gauff on the other side, the Spanish-Polish couple pulled off two tweeners in a row, looking like they are teaching a crash course on how to do the trick.

The match was part of the Tennis Plays For Peace exhibition in support of Ukrainian humanitarian relief. US Open’s official Twitter account shared the video with the caption: “Iga Swiatek and Rafael Nadal put on a tweener clinic”.

Tennis Plays for Peace is an initiative to bring the tennis community and fans together to support the humanitarian relief efforts for the war in Ukraine.

Swiatek says Nadal is the GOAT

It’s not news that Swiatek looks up to Rafael Nadal. WTA world number one Iga Swiatek said Rafael Nadal is the greatest player of all time during a session of compliments shared by Cincinnati players.

“My compliment goes to Rafael Nadal because he is just the GOAT,” said Iga Swiatek. You can see Swiatek’s compliment in this article: WTA leader Iga Swiatek on Rafael Nadal: “He is the GOAT” Nadal, however, also complimented Iga Swiatek.

Rafael Nadal called Iga Swiatek's 2022 performance "unbelievable" and revealed he exchanged a few text messages with the Polish tennis superstar. Swiatek, who recently turned 21, is now the face of the women's game, but she is never shy about expressing her admiration for Nadal.

Swiatek, who idolized Nadal as a child, has been the most dominant tennis player this season, and many regard her as an all-time great. "I texted her a couple of times because it's unbelievable the way she's playing. When she's playing well it's very difficult to stop her, because her shots are a little bit different. A lot of power and she's able to move well," Nadal said of Swiatek, per Gaspar Ribeiro Lanca.
