Rafael Nadal wasn't able to beat the young countryman Carlos Alcaraz, in the highly anticipated The Netflix Slam, broadcast by the streaming platform, but he left the Las Vegas crowd (and his opponent!) breathless with a shot truly sensational.

Played at the MGM Resorts International, at the Michelob ULTRA Arena of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, the match was spectacular and, above all, showed a good level of physical fitness of the two participants. Alcaraz won the match in three sets, after losing the first set.

Nadal had not played since the 2024 Brisbane International due to yet another injury, but his physical level, especially in the first set, when he dominated his young opponent, looked very good.

Right in the first set, when Rafa was leading 3-0, the legendary Spaniard amazed the Las Vegas crowd, shocking Alcaraz with an incredible shot.

Nadal served to Alcaraz's forehand, following the serve. Alcaraz managed to launch the ball over Nadal's head, but the Spaniard sprinted back and hit without looking, leaving everyone breathless.

Nadal and Alcaraz are ready for Indian Wells

The most intense moment of the match was certainly that third set, an authentic show-time, won by Alcaraz 14-12 in the super tie-break.

As mentioned, Nadal seemed very fit, especially in the first set, while from the second onwards, Alcaraz's level rose. Carlitos was also suffering from a physical ankle problem, which he suffered in Rio de Janeiro. Both of the two Spanish tennis players will therefore face the ATP Masters 1000 in Indian Wells with optimism, which will begin on March 6th.
