Rafael Nadal's eight consecutive titles in Monte-Carlo

In 2012, Rafael Nadal got an incredible record, winning the title at the Monte-Carlo Country Club for the eighth time. That year, the Spaniard defeated Novak Djokovic in straight sets 6-3, 6-1. In the previous seasons, Nadal defeated Guillermo Coria in 2005, Roger Federer from 2006 to 2008, Djokovic in 2009, Fernando Verdasco in 2010, and and David Ferrer in 2011.

After the first defeat in nine years at the Monte-Carlo Country Club against Novak Djokovic in 2013, he came back to win the title from 2016 to 2018, beating Gael Monfils, Albert Ramos-Viñolas, and Kei Nishikori. Following this year's cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters will come back in 2021.
