Rafael Nadal tried to save a troubled butterfly during one of the breaks in the first round of the Australian Open 2021. Nadal was facing Serbian Laslo Djere, which he dismantled in three sets, at the time of his heart-warming deed.
Rafael tried to give a little boost to his wounded friend, but the butterfly’s wings were too badly affected.
This was not the first time when we saw Rafael Nadal taking care of a butterfly in the mid of a tennis match.
The same thing happened during a 2018 Wimbledon semi-final encounter he had against Novak Djokovic. Nadal paused the game to guide the curious butterfly outside the field, so he won’t get hurt. Yet, that butterfly didn't bring luck to the Spaniard, as he lost the encounter with 10-8 in the decisive set.
