Roger Federer defeated Radu Albot in three sets, 4-6 7-5 6-3, to reach the Miami Open third round.
The Swiss player struggled a lot finding the rhythm from the baseline and he made a lot of unforced errors. Albot played a great match, but in the end it was the Basel native to prevail and book a clash against Filip Krajinovic scheduled for Monday.
Federer was probably tired following his long runs in Dubai and Indian Wells. He lost a tight three-set final to Dominic Thiem on Sunday.
