Roger Federer trains in Madrid

Watch Roger Federer arrive in Madrid ahead of the Mutua Madrid Open, which is his first clay-court tournament since Rome in 2016. The Swiss player had a light hit with his friend Robin Haase on the Central Court in the early afternoon.

Federer looked fit and ready to compete on the surface. The Swiss is likely to make his debut in the Spanish event on Wednesday, probably in the night session. We will see how the Basel native will perform. He last competed in an official tournament overall more than a month ago in the Miami Open against John Isner in the championship clash.
