The Swiss player Roger Federer met the Madrid Mayor Manuela Carmena in the municipality of the Spanish city ahead of the Madrid Open. The 20-time Grand Slam winner arrived at 11:30 AM in the Cibeles Palace where Carmena was waiting for him.
Both spoke each other in France for some minutes while they were taking photos. According to close sources, Federer wanted himself to meet Carmena. The Basel native arrived to Madrid on Friday and he is ready to make his first appearance in the Spanish tournament since 2015.
