Serena’s coach Patrick Mouratoglou shared his favorite moment from Williams’s career on Instagram, and it wasn’t something that happened on the tennis court but during the post-match conference room following the American’s 2009 Wimbledon title, which she won in the face of her sister Venus.
“I got asked what was my favorite Serena moment, and what came to mind wasn't a match, but an interview. See for yourself,” Mouratoglou explained the reason behind reposting fragments from the 11 years old interview.
“I could watch this interview over and over again,” Serena’s coach captioned the video.
In what was their fourth Wimbledon final, Serena faced sister Venus Williams.
Serena won the opening set in a tie-break; Venus had break points but couldn't convert them, whilst Serena didn't have any. Serena Williams broke Venus twice in the second set, including in the last game, and triumphed on her fourth match point to win her 11th grand slam and third Wimbledon title.
