Amanda Anisimova dedicates her win to late father: Doing it for dad

19 year old American Amanda Anisimova came through her second round match in three sets on Thursday against 16 year old countrywoman Katrina Scott at the US Open and then later spoke about how her late father's words inspired her to come back after she lost the first set.
The 2017 junior champion, Anisimova won 4-6 6-4 6-1 to reach the third round in New York. She had to miss the tournament last year after her father, Konstantin Anisimov whom she was very close to, died from a heart attack just a week before the start of the tournament.
The teenager is touted to be a big star in women's tennis and already has a long-term endorsement deal with Nike. Check out the video below after her second-round win in which she talks about how her late father's words helpef her get through the second round match.
