Emma Raducanu was sensationally eliminated in the second round of the Australian Open 2022 by Danka Kovinic, also due to the viscics on her right hand, which affected her performance. Anyway it was another defeat in a complicated moment fot the young UK player.

The first set started in the best way: the Raducanu's break occurs twice, in the first and third game. Everything seems to be going well, except that the British tennis player is forced to call the medical time-out for a blister in her right hand.

From that moment, Raducanu fails to play well and loses the first set. Despite her pains, the British continues to fight, totally changing her game: due to the bandaged hand, she mainly uses the forehand in chop. Thus she wins the second set, but it is not enough: despite the return to the forehand, Danka Kovinić prevails in the third set and wins the match 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.
