Western & Southern Open: Venus Williams' first American disappointment

American women's singles tennis players had a day of ups and downs at the Western and Southern Open in New York, this year played without crowds in the bubble created at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows.

The first disappointment came from Venus Williams, defeated in three balanced sets by the young Dayana Yastremska, with the final score of 7-5 2-6 5-7. However, at 40, Venus once again demonstrated all her immense talent, even athletic, against a girl 20 years younger.
