WTA Adelaide staged the semi-finals of the post Australian Open 2021 women's tournament, with many stars in the main draw. Belinda Bencic reached the final of the tournament by beating Cori Gauff for 7-6 (4) 6-7 (4) 6-2.
Coco, against Belinda Bencic, almost miraculously managed to regroup the score and keep one last serving time. Seeding number two, who hadn't reached a final in the WTA Tour since October 2019, among other things, did not take advantage of a break advantage on two occasions during the second set, but still managed to defeat the young American star.
Bencic will face Iga Swiatek in the final: the Pole got rid of Jill Teichimann with a quick 6-3 6-2. For the Roland Garros champion it will also be her di lei first career final on hard-court, the third of her career.
