Daniela Hantuchova, born in Poprad, on April 23, 1983, is a Slovak television commentator and former tennis player. During her career, she has won 7 WTA singles titles in total, reaching No. 5 in the world rankings in January 2003 and accumulating prize money over $ 10,000,000 over the years. In Grand Slam tournaments she boasts the semifinal reached at the 2008 Australian Open as her best result.
She is an excellent doubles player, she has won a total of 9 doubles tournaments and all the Grand Slam tournaments in mixed doubles, thus completing the Career Grand Slam (she is the first Slovak ever to do so).
She was coached by Eduardo Nicolas. Her father, Igor, is a computer scientist, her mother, Marianna, is a toxicologist, her older brother, Igor, is an architect in Bratislava. The preferred surface is grass; her favorite tournament is Wimbledon. She trained at the Bollettieri Academy between the ages of 16 and 18.
She appeared in the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue alongside Maria Kirilenko and Tatiana Golovin in a photography series called Volley of the Dolls. The tennis player appeared naked in the July 2012 edition of The Body Issue, which belongs to ESPN The Magazine: her photo was on the cover of one of the six special editions. Although considered an attractive and sensual woman, Hantuchova has never rated herself as such, stating that modeling is just fun to do once in a while."
In 2014, she posed in the sensual calendar to raise money to donate to charity.
