Lindsay Davenport

Lindsay Davenport is an American tennis coach and former tennis player.

During her career she won 55 WTA singles titles, including three Grand Slam events (US Open 1998, Wimbledon 1999, Australian Open 2000) and the Olympic gold medal in Atlanta 1996. The only Grand Slam in which she has never played one final is the French Open, where he boasts a semifinal reached in 1998 and three other quarterfinals. In doubles, however, she has won 38 WTA titles, including three other Grand Slam tournaments.

She reached the top position of the WTA rankings in both singles and doubles, respectively, on October 12, 1998 and October 20, 1997. Furthermore, she is one of the four women who, since 1975, have finished the year as world number 1 in singular at least four times; the others are Chris Evert, Steffi Graf and Martina Navrátilová.

In 2014 she was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
