Mate Pavic

Mate Pavic achieved his best ATP ranking in doubles on May 21, 2018, ranking number one in the world, the first Croatian tennis player ever to achieve the feat. He returned to occupy the first position in the ranking from 5 April 2021 to 3 April 2022. Starting from 2021 he plays in pairs with Nikola Mektić, with whom he has achieved considerable success.

In 2011 he won the junior doubles edition of Wimbledon together with the Briton George Morgan. In Grand Slam tournaments, his best result is victory in the doubles tournament at the 2018 Australian Open with Oliver Marach, at the 2020 US Open with Bruno Soares and at 2021 Wimbledon with Nikola Mektić, with whom he also triumphed at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and the victories in mixed doubles at the 2016 US Open with Laura Siegemund and at the 2018 Australian Open with Gabriela Dabrowski.
