Henrik Stenson

Henrik Olof Stenson, born in Gothenburg on April 5, 1976, is a Swedish golfer, part of the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour.

In 2016, the year in which he also won the Olympic silver medal in Rio de Janeiro behind Justin Rose, Stenson won the Open Championship played on the Royal Troon Golf Club becoming the first Swede to lift the Claret Jug.

Thanks to a last lap extraordinary, enhanced by ten birdies and concluded in 63, he got the better of a rival of great value, the American Phil Mickelson, on whom he prevailed with three strokes ahead. The final score of 264 (68, 65, 68 and 63) was a good 20 under par at Royal Troon (you cannot compare the score of 4 rounds with the Par of a course).
