Tom Brady played as a quarterback for the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the National Football League. He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft by the Patriots, with whom he played until 2019. In college, he played college football at the University of Michigan.
Brady has reached the Super Bowl nine times with the Patriots, winning six, and once with the Buccaneers. He was also named a record five Super Bowl MVP times, was named to fifteen Pro Bowls, held the NFL record for most touchdown passes thrown in a single season between 2007 and 2013, and owns the third-highest career passer rating of all time (97.2) among players with at least 1,500 passes attempted.
Brady also helped set the NFL record for most hit streaks by a franchise with 21 over two seasons, and in 2007 led New England to their first (and so far only) regular season without a loss since the number of games for the season he was increased from 14 to 16. In the playoffs, he threw for more yards and touchdowns than any other quarterback and won more games than any other player in history.
Between 2004 and 2006, Brady was in a relationship with Bridget Moynahan. The actress and model gave birth to their son, John Edward Thomas Moynahan, in August 2007.
In late 2006 Brady became engaged to supermodel Gisele Bundchen. The couple got married on February 26, 2009 in Santa Monica, California. They had two children: Benjamin Rein (2009) and Vivian Lake (2012). On October 28, 2022, Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady announce that they have started divorce proceedings.
