
Nelly Korda, born in 1998, is an American golfer, mainly active on the LPGA Tour, winner of the gold medal in the individual tournament of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Born in Bradenton, Manatee County, she is the daughter of Czech tennis players Petr Korda and Regina Rajchrtova, and sister of Jessica, also a golfer, and Sebastian Korda, a professional tennis player.
Since 2019, she has been romantically linked to NHL player Andreas Athanasiou.
Not yet fifteen, in June 2013 she took part in the prestigious US Women's Open Golf. Two years later she is a member of the USA team at the Junior Solheim Cup, and she also confirms herself in the individual by winning the Harter Hall Invitational and the PING Invitational, as well as being named AJGA Rolex Junior All-American as well.
On August 7, 2021, she graduated Olympic champion on the field of the Kasumigaseki Country Club in Kawagoe, closing the match with 267 strokes, 17 under par. In second place after the first round with 67 shots, -4 on par, takes the lead in the second round closed in 62 shots and in the last two rounds manages the lead finishing both with 69 shots, resisting the comeback of the landlady Inami and the New Zealander Ko, ending the test at 268 strokes.
