Juan Sebastian Cabal, specialist in doubles, on 15 July 2019 won the Wimbledon Tournament paired with Robert Farah and became number one in the world of specialties. That same year he also won the US Open with Farah.
2019 is Cabal and Farah's best season, the first success comes in April at the ATP 500 in Barcelona and the following month they are confirmed as champions in Rome. They lose the semifinal at the Roland Garros against Jeremy Chardy / Fabrice Martin and at the end of June they win the title in Eastbourne.
They achieve the most prestigious success from the beginning of their career by winning the Wimbledon tournament with a 6-3 success in the fifth set against Nicolas Mahut / Edouard Roger-Vasselin, after the first 4 had decided in the tie-break.
The triumph brings Cabal and Farah tied at the top of the world rankings. Defeated in the final in Cincinnati, they repeated the feat of London by also imposing themselves in the New York Grand Slam, losing only one set in the whole tournament and in the final they defeated Marcel Granollers / Horacio Zeballos 6-4, 7-5.
For the second consecutive year they access the Finals in London, despite two defeats in the round robin they reach the semifinals and lose in three sets against Raven Klaasen / Michael Venus.
