Birmingham Classic

The Birmingham Classic, also known as the Rothesay Classic for sponsorship reasons, is a women's tennis tournament. It is played at the Edgbaston Priory Club in the heart of the city of Birmingham in Great Britain. Since 1982 it has been played on grass and for this reason it is considered as preparation for the Wimbledon tournament.

From 2009 to 2013 it was part of the International category, from 2014 to 2019 it moved to the Premier category, to return to International from 2020, which however is not contested due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since 2021 the tournament is classified as WTA 250.

Sponsorship of the tournament has changed over the years, with the current sponsored name being the "Rothesay Classic". Previously, the event has been called the "Viking Classic", "Nature Valley Classic", "Aegon Birmingham Classic", the "DFS Classic", the "Dow Classic", and the "Edgbaston Cup."

Pam Shriver holds the record for the most singles titles with four (1984–1987 consecutively).
